Friday 8 th September 7.30pm – First Night – Mozart 250 Celebration

Mozart's G minor Piano Quartet, the charming Flute Quartet, a selection of favourite songs, and a Mozartian modern premiere – the ‘Elvira Madigan' Piano Concerto in a chamber arrangement by his contemporary, Hummel. Played on fortepiano and period instruments.

Saturday 9 th September 7.30pm – The Blue Hedgehog

Jazz piano and cabaret songs from Prague, London and New York, marking the centenary of the great jazz composer, Jaroslav Jezek (Jezek is Czech for ‘hedgehog', believe it or not) with his contemporaries, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Billy Mayerl.

Sunday 10 th September 7pm – Songs on a Sunday I – The Heartbeat of the Shire

A Memorial Garland of Northamptonshire Songs by Trevor Hold (1939-2004)

Friday 15 th September 7.30pm – A World Tour with Fritz Kreisler

Original pieces and arrangements by the famous Viennese violinist, with anecdotes of his career, played and told in geographical order by Ernst Kovacic, the superb Viennese virtuoso.

Saturday 16 th September 7.30pm – 2 Murders & a Marriage

Three complete comic operas: one about Mozart, one by Mozart, and one that Mozart wished he'd written! As performed in the Edinburgh Fringe, the Oslo Festival, the Stour Festival, Highcliffe Castle, and Buxton International Opera Festival.

Sunday 17 th September 7.00pm – Songs on a Sunday II – All Pleasure's Fancies

Strauss's Four Last Songs ; the world premiere of David Owen Norris's song-cycle Tomorrow nor Yesterday – six settings of John Donne; and traditional songs arranged by Roger Quilter, as heard on our recent Naxos CD.

Followed by Founders' Reception.
